hi T Brady, the answer to your question is no, you have to have 2 completely different players in each half. but with the rule that the dummy half and 1st receiver are now able to run with the ball they don't have to just stand and pass it pays to train 2 specialist dummy half's, we did and it worked extremely well for us until our 2nd dummy half had a skateboarding accident that put him out for 6 weeks we had no trouble finding a second half 1st receiver but dummy half that was a nightmare. quick ball distribution and speed of thinking from dummy half just wasn't there after that happened plus it also prepares you for when you leave mod rules and go international having a backup dummy half who we now use as a halfback, dummy half or 5/8 utility player now. hope that helps good luck
